Disebutkan bahwa peristiwa nahas ini dipicu persoalan utang piutang korban MRR dengan pelaku H.
Selama disekap, korban mengaku mendapat kekerasan fisik berupa pemukulan baik menggunakan tangan kosong ataupun benda seperti tabung gas, kemudian disundut rokok, hingga dipaksa makan batu.
Kasatreskrim Polres Metro Jakarta Timur AKBP Armunanto Hutahean dalam keterangan pada Sabtu (13/7/2024) mengatakan, pihaknya sudah memeriksa sejumlah saksi termasuk korban.
Armunanto membenarkan bahwa pelaku penganiayaan terhadap pemuda berusia 23 tahun itu lebih dari satu orang.
Namun Armunanto masih enggan mengungkap jumlah pasti para pelaku dengan alasan masih melakukan pendalaman.
Selain disekap dan dianiaya, korban juga mengalami perampasan barang berharga seperti handphone dan dompet.
Untuk diketahui, lokasi penyekapan korban berada di sebuah kafe.
Terkait hal tersebut, polisi mengatakan bahwa mereka turut meminta keterangan dari pemilik kafe.
Sementara itu, terkait dengan kondisi MRR, polisi menunggu hasil visum korban.
Adapun kondisi MRR saat ini dilaporkan mengalami trauma berat dan masih dilanda kecemasan.
Korban bahkan menolak dirawat di RSKD Duren Sawit untuk menjalani observasi di bagian kepala dengan alasan merasa tak aman dan diawasi oleh pelaku.
