Tugas KKN, Dua Mahasiswa UGM Tewas Aibat Perahu Terbalik

Dua mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) meninggal dunia setelah perahu yang mereka tumpangi terbalik di Sungai Serayu, Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Peristiwa tragis ini terjadi saat keduanya tengah melaksanakan program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN).

Menurut keterangan pihak kepolisian, kedua korban bersama beberapa rekan mahasiswa lainnya menaiki perahu untuk menyusuri sungai dalam rangka pengambilan data. Namun nahas, perahu tersebut terbalik akibat tidak mampu menahan arus sungai yang deras.

Sejumlah penumpang berhasil menyelamatkan diri, sementara dua mahasiswa malang tersebut ditemukan meninggal dunia setelah sempat dinyatakan hilang. Jenazah keduanya telah dievakuasi dan dibawa ke rumah duka.

Pihak kampus UGM menyampaikan duka cita mendalam atas insiden ini serta berjanji akan memberikan pendampingan kepada keluarga korban.
