Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) fired back at President Trump after Trump's primetime address on "election integrity," turning the fraud accusation around and pointing to Trump's own record in Georgia. Ossoff argues that if anyone committed election fraud in Georgia, it was Trump himself, citing the recorded January 2021 phone call in which Trump pressed Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" enough votes to overturn his 2020 loss, a request Raffensperger refused. Ossoff warns that Trump is signaling plans to attack the legitimacy of Georgia's elections and undermine voting rights ahead of the 2026 midterms, calling the address a rehash of years-old grievances.Ossoff criticises Trump's threats against Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and five other Democratic veterans over their video reminding service members they can refuse illegal orders—an episode in which Trump publicly called for the lawmakers to be locked up. A federal grand jury later declined to indict Kelly, and a judge blocked the Pentagon's effort to punish him.
