UKRAINE-KRIEG: Polen aktiviert Luftabwehr! Das Pentagon kündigte zunächst an, 4000 US-Soldaten nicht nach Polen zu entsenden. Donald Trump schrieb danach auf Truth Social von 5000 weiteren Soldaten für Polen. In Warschau sorgt das für Unsicherheit. Polen galt lange als besonders enger Verbündeter der USA. Das Land gab schon vor 2022 mehr als zwei Prozent seiner Wirtschaftsleistung für Rüstung aus. Es beteiligte sich an Missionen in Afghanistan und im Irak. Zugleich setzt Polen stark auf US-Systeme. Dazu zählen F-35, Apache-Hubschrauber, Abrams-Panzer und HIMARS. Im Rahmen der NATO bleibt Polen auf US-Führung, Aufklärung und Logistik angewiesen.
