O lançamento do bem-sucedido Renault Kardian no ano passado foi apenas o início de uma nova fase. A marca francesa traz novidades para o mundo inteiro, incluindo para o Brasil, onde vai produzir modelos diferentes.A montadora vai produzir nacionalmente os carros da Renault francesa e não mais de sua subsidiária romena, a Dacia. E seu próximo lançamento no Brasil será um SUV acima do Kardian, o Boreal.
Se o modelo que fez bastante sucesso no ano passado briga na faixa do Volkswagen T-Cross ou do Hyundai Creta, cabe ao Boreal competir num segmento acima. Seus concorrentes são o Jeep Compass e o Corolla Cross, que estão na faixa de R$ 200 mil.
O Renault Boreal contará com motor 1.3 turbo flex de 163 cv, com apresentação em julho e início das vendas dois meses depois. Ele será produzido no Paraná para o nosso mercado e exportado para dezenas de outros.
