Krisenstimmung bei den Demokraten nach Joe Bidens TV-Duell gegen Donald Trump, für das er schlechte Kritiken bekommen hatte. Der 81-Jährige will wieder Präsident werden, obwohl er schon jetzt der älteste ist, den die USA jemals hatten. Viele Amerikaner zweifeln, ob er im Amt gesundheitlich überhaupt nochmal vier Jahre durchhalten kann - und sein möglicher Herausforderer Donald Trump schlachtet das Alter von Joe Biden nur zu gern immer wieder aus, obwohl er selbst auch schon 78 ist.

Deswegen schaut auch Deutschland aufmerksam auf Bidens Entscheidung, ob er wirklich wieder antritt oder doch jüngeren Demokrat:innen den Vortritt lässt. Wie beschädigt ist Biden nach dem TV-Duell? Und würde seine Kandidatur entscheidende Wählerstimmen kosten und dadurch Trump womöglich die Wahl gewinnen?

Dazu hat Moma-Korrespondent Michael Strempel Norbert Röttgen von der CDU interviewt - er ist Mitglied im Auswärtigen Ausschuss.
