Nach Messerangriff: Trauerfeier für getöteten Polizisten in Mannheim
In Mannheim ist mit einer öffentlichen Trauerfeier des vor zwei Wochen nach einem Einsatz auf dem Marktplatz gestorbenen 29-jährigen Polizisten Rouven Laur gedacht worden. Die Feier fand im Kongresszentrum Rosengarten statt. Polizeihauptkommissar Rouven Laur war am 31. Mai auf dem Mannheimer Marktplatz durch Messerstiche so schwer verletzt worden, dass er später im Krankenhaus starb.Die Deutsche Polizeigewerkschaft spricht nach der emotionalen Trauerfeier von einer „überwältigenden Anteilnahme der Bevölkerung und der Sicherheitsbehörden“. Zur Trauerfeier waren etwa 2.300 Gäste im Mannheimer Rosengarten zusammengekommen – darunter Angehörige von Rouven Laur, geladene Gäste sowie Polizist:innen aus ganz Deutschland.
