Da duemila anni il popolo cristiano prega per il Papa, che si trova in pericolo o è infermo. Anche in questi giorni, da quando il Santo Padre Francesco è stato ricoverato al Policlinico Gemelli, una intensa preghiera si eleva per lui al Signore, da parte di singoli fedeli e di comunità cristiane del mondo intero. Da questa sera vogliamo unirci anche noi pubblicamente a questa preghiera, qui nella sua casa, con la recita del Santo Rosario. Lo affidiamo alla potente intercessione di Maria Santissima, che invochiamo specialmente con il titolo di 'Salus Infirmorum'. Ella, che è nostra madre premurosa, lo sostenga in questo momento di malattia e di prova, e lo aiuti a recuperare presto la salute".
