El Códice Vigilano o Códice Albeldense, escrito en el año 976 en Albelda de Iregua (La Rioja), contiene la primera aparición de los números indoarábigos en Europa. Este manuscrito muestra una línea histórica con nueve cifras que marcó un antes y un después en la evolución de la numeración.En este vídeo descubrimos por qué no aparece el cero, por qué las cifras están escritas de derecha a izquierda y cómo este conocimiento matemático llegó siglos más tarde al resto de Europa gracias a Fibonacci.
