Solo The Coil 2,975,569 Score (My Final Top 1% Score Run) [Destiny 2]

Destiny 2 Call to Arms Event - Solo The Coil: 2,975,569 After Score Lock - Call to Arms Top 1% Score / How To Get Top 1% Score in The Coil Guide. Just a video showing a 2.975 million high score in The Coil activity for Call to Arms.

As I said on the previous video: Bungie made their final changes to this event, which both locked the scores and lowered the thresholds needed for every activity.

This event has been a bit of a rollercoaster, initially sounding like a fun idea, then very poorly implemented with the modifiers and power level requirements. They made some further fixes which made the event feel much better, but they also got the scaling wrong for lower power levels to the point it ended up hindering 550 players. As a final workaround, they've just decided to ignore the whole community competition aspect, lowered the scores needed to their own set numbers, and have locked them for the remainder of the event.

I think it's a very disappointing end to the event personally, as I was looking forward to seeing where the final set of scores would lock at, and then seeing if they were still achievable solo for a final playthrough. I'm assuming people have their own mixed opinions on the matter, and I'm not going to argue about it, as it's not worth the effort.

From my own standpoint, I feel like if you're promoting an event to have a top 1% threshold and rewards, it would've been nice for it to play out as such. But considering how many issues the event came with, fluctuating scores due to bugs and issues, I guess this was the only feasible option. I hope when we see future iterations of this, there's a bit more forethought into it all. Whether it be activity selection so RNG isn't as a big of a factor (especially solo op objectives and high value targets), or just simply removing any power level requirement or season pass boost. Just leave it as a level playing field with a set activity or something, and let the competition play out. As it currently stands, it feels like the first week was a waste of time.

Regardless, I was planning to have one final pass at all of these over the weekend when they did lock the scores, but as they brought that up early, here it is. There's room for a lot of improvement in each of these runs still, but there's not much point to pushing any further now.

---

For this run in particular, compared to the last run the biggest timesave I could see was both on the bosses and traversal sections. I was originally planning to do this on Hunter with tether for room clears and Grapples for bosses as a result, but I forgot that class items are locked and that hinders it.

So the next option is the ol' reliable Banner of War, which does very well in here. I had decent RNG on objectives and plate spawns throughout, a couple of sloppy boss fights and moments, but it still gets the job done. Grenade modifier would be nice on the activity, but that's not in rotation now. I was also hoping you'd be able to get over 3 million on this, but it seems unlikely. The previous run I did was 2 minutes 41 seconds slower, but only 19,000 points less. So you'd need to save at least 4 minutes on this to hit the 3 million threshold, which seems unlikely solo.
