Stasiun Televisi Korut pada Kamis (4/7) secara eksklusif melaporkan setidaknya 50 hingga 60 remaja Korut yang berusia sekitar 17 tahun ketahuan menonton drakor.
Sekitar 30 orang dari mereka dijatuhi hukuman penjara seumur hidup atau mati.
Tindakan menonton drakor dilarang karena dinilai dapat menjatuhkan rezim Korea Utara.
Situasi saat ini disebut-sebut semakin buruk.
Pada tahun 2022 lalu, ada dua remaja laki-laki Korut yang diadili di depan umum dan dijatuhi 12 tahun kerja paksa.
Demikian diungkap oleh seorang pejabat Kementerian Unifikasi di Korsel.
Untuk informasi, Kementerian Unifikasi ini adalah departemen eksekutif pemerintah Korea Selatan yang bertujuan untuk mempromosikan penyatuan kembali Korea.
Di sisi lain persoalan ini menjadi perbincangan usai disiarkan.
Netizen Korsel pun miris dengan kehidupan warga Korea Utara, karena dilarang menikmati tayangan drama.
Tak sedikit yang merasa hukuman seumur hidup itu tidak masuk akal.
