Houthi menargetkan apal induk nuklir itu begitu tiba di perairan Laut Merah.
Informasi itu diungkap pemimpin Houthi Abdul-Malik al-Houthi dalam video, seperti melansir Sputnik, Rabu (3/7/2024).
"Kapal induk tersebut adalah target utama Pasukan Rudal Angkatan Darat Yaman mulai sekarang, dan akan menjadi sasaran ketika kapal tersebut memasuki Laut Merah,” kata pemimpin Houthi Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.
Houthi, yang bernama resmi Gerakan Ansar Allah, mengeklaim sebagai pemerintah sah Yaman.
Dengan demikian, pasukannya juga diklaim mengatasnamakan militer Yaman.
Kelompok Houthi selama ini berjanji akan menghentikan semua lalu lintas Angkatan Laut milik atau terkait Israel melalui Laut Merah dan Teluk Aden sampai militer Zionis menghentikan serangannya di Jalur Gaza, Palestina.
Kapal induk USS Theodore Roosevelt baru saja merampungkan latihan perang gabungan Amerika Serikat, Korea Selatan, dan Jepang di perairan Korea Selatan.
Manuver gabungan itu telah dikecam Korea Utara sebagai latihan invasi.
