JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV Menko Polhukam 20192024, Mahfud MD menilai langkah Forum Purnawirawan TNI yang mengirimkan surat resmi ke DPR RI untuk mengusulkan pemakzulan Wakil Presiden (Wapres), Gibran Rakabuming merupakan tindakan yang sah."Menurut saya benar, dan itu lebih elegan ya, karena dilakukan tidak secara sembunyi-sembunyi dengan kasak-kusuk yang tidak sehat, tapi dinyatakan secara resmi," ujar Mahfud, dikutip dari channel YouTube Mahfud MD Official pada Rabu (11/6/2025).
"Justru kita menegaskan bahwa negara kita adalah negara demokrasi, artinya memberi kesempatan kepada siapa pun untuk mengajukan aspirasinya," lanjutnya.
