Jubir Vatikan Ungkap Kondisi Paus Fransiskus Masih Kritis, Namun Stabil
VATIKAN, KOMPAS.TV - Juru bicara Vatikan mengatakan Paus Fransiskus masih dalam kondisi kritis tetapi stabil.Parameter darahnya stabil dan tidak mengalami krisis pernapasan lagi seperti yang dialaminya selama akhir pekan lalu.
Menurut Vatikan, pimpinan tertinggi Gereja Katolik itu telah menjalani CT scan lanjutan untuk memeriksa infeksi pada paru-parunya.
Paus juga dikunjungi Sekretaris Negara Vatikan, Kardinal Pietro Parolin untuk penandatanganan beberapa dekret pengangkatan santo dan santa baru di Gereja Katolik.
Dalam sakitnya, Paus masih melakukan tugas-tugas yang penting dan esensial untuk pemerintahan Gereja.
Hari Senin waktu setempat, Vatikan dalam buletin malamnya menyampaikan bahwa kondisi kesehatan Paus Fransiskus sedikit membaik setelah berada dalam kondisi kritis akibat pneumonia di kedua paru-parunya.
Tim medis yang merawat Paus menegaskan, tidak ada serangan pernapasan asma dan beberapa hasil tes laboratorium menunjukkan perbaikan.
Dokter kepala di Rumah Sakit Gemelli, Sergio Alfieri bilang Paus Fransiskus masih dalam pemantauan intensif dan tidak akan dipulangkan sebelum kondisinya benar-benar stabil.
Sementara itu, untuk mendoakan kesehatan Paus, ratusan umat Katolik dan puluhan kardinal berkumpul untuk berdoa bersama pada Senin (24/02) malam waktu setempat.
Doa Rosario dipimpin oleh Sekretaris Negara Vatikan, Kardinal Pietro Parolin di Lapangan Santo Petrus.
Sebelumnya pada Minggu (23/02) sore, Vatikan menggelar misa khusus di Basilika Kepausan Santo Yohanes di Roma.
