La Svizzera fissa un limite massimo di abitanti? Il voto del 14 giugno 2026
In questo video analizziamo una decisione storica: il 14 giugno i cittadini svizzeri voteranno per decidere se inserire nella loro Costituzione un limite massimo assoluto di 10 milioni di abitanti.Negli ultimi 15 anni la popolazione svizzera è cresciuta molto velocemente, spinta soprattutto dall'arrivo di lavoratori dall'estero. Questo ha portato grandi vantaggi economici, ma ha anche creato problemi pratici: treni pieni, affitti molto alti e ospedali sotto pressione (il cosiddetto "stress da densità").
L'iniziativa, proposta dal partito UDC, prevede misure molto rigide se si supera la soglia dei 9,5 milioni: stop ai permessi di soggiorno, stop ai ricongiungimenti familiari e, se necessario, la rottura degli accordi con l'Unione Europea sulla libera circolazione delle persone.
Da un lato, i sostenitori chiedono di proteggere la qualità della vita e l'identità del Paese. Dall'altro, le imprese e il governo avvertono dei grandi rischi economici: senza lavoratori stranieri, settori come la farmaceutica, il turismo e persino il sistema delle pensioni potrebbero crollare.
