■『ウルトラマンメビウス』とは
2006年度製作の「ウルトラマンシリーズ誕生40周年記念作品」です。ウルトラマンからウルトラマン80までの、M78星雲・光の国から地球にやってきた昭和の歴代ウルトラヒーローたちとの繋がりを持つ世界観が最大の特徴です。「友情」をテーマに、ルーキーウルトラマンであるメビウスと、ビギナーの防衛チーム・CREW GUYSの隊員たちとの成長物語が描かれました。また、TV放送と連動した劇場用映画や配信オリジナル作品、そしてTV放送終了後の外伝DVDリリースといった展開も作品の幅を広げ、ウルトラマンシリーズの歴史の節目を大いに盛り上げました。
中でも特筆すべきは、伝説の「ウルトラ兄弟」との夢の共演です。映画『ウルトラマンメビウス＆ウルトラ兄弟』の公開を機に、ＴＶシリーズでもウルトラ兄弟たちが続々と登場。往年の設定を踏まえつつ展開されるゲストエピソード回には、多くのオリジナルキャストたちが変身前の勇姿を熱演し、平成世代に昭和ウルトラヒーローの人気を再燃させました。
主演は『ROOKIES』『パラダイス・キス』などに出演した五十嵐 隼士が、ルーキーウルトラマン「メビウス」＝ヒビノ ミライ隊員役を爽やかに演じ、地球に派遣されたルーキーのウルトラマンとして、ビギナー防衛チームの仲間たちと共に様々な試練を乗り越えながら、友情を深めてゆく物語を印象付けました。
ウルトラマンメビウスと共に戦う防衛チーム・CREW GUYSの隊員を演じるのは、仁科 克基、斉川あい、渡辺 大輔、平田弥里、内野 謙太ら、個性豊かな若手俳優たち。そして、彼らを束ねる、優しくもどこかミステリアスなサコミズ隊長役を、田中 実が好演しています。
ウルトラマンシリーズの定式を覆し、シリーズ史上初となる、ドラマ中盤で主人公の正体がウルトラマンであることが露見した後も物語が続くシリーズ構成や、昭和ウルトラマンシリーズへのリスペクトに満ちた設定や後日談的なエピソードの数々も注目を浴び、今日まで幅広い世代のファンに支持されている人気作品です。 Receive SMS online on sms24.me
