HOMMAGE À M. JOSEPH PARDO (1917-1990) DE NICE 🇫🇷

Dans cette vidéo hommage, Rav Moché Mergui évoque avec émotion la figure exceptionnelle de son beau-père, JOSEPH Sauveur PARDO ז״ל, né le 18 juillet 1917 à Nice et décédé dans cette même ville le 21 juillet 1990.

Autodidacte passionné, il consacra une grande partie de sa vie à l’étude du Talmud et du Zohar, fréquentant de grands Rabbanim et œuvrant sans relâche pour la vie juive à Nice. Marqué dans sa jeunesse par l’épreuve de la déportation à Drancy, il se tourna progressivement vers une vie de Torah, de transmission et d’engagement communautaire.

Animé par l’esprit de Yossef Hatsadik – "Je recherche mes frères" – Joseph Pardo fonda une communauté et initia de nombreux projets pour rapprocher les Juifs de la Torah : maison de jeunes, accueil d’étudiants, développement d’un centre d’études juives, soutien à la création d’un mikvé cachère et organisation d’innombrables activités communautaires.

Mais ceux qui l’ont connu se souviennent surtout d’un homme d’une générosité et d’un amour du prochain exceptionnels : une table de Chabbat toujours ouverte, une passion brûlante pour l’étude et une attention particulière pour chaque Juif, même le plus démuni.

À travers ce témoignage, Torah-Box retrace la vie d’un homme qui a marqué durablement la communauté juive de Nice et dont l’héritage continue d’inspirer les générations.
