Пока Путин тянет с переговорами, российское общество всё заметнее разделяется на две реальности: воюющую провинцию и крупные города, где повседневная жизнь почти не изменилась на фоне войны России против Украины. По мнению колумниста Deutsche Welle Константина Эгерта, это расслоение неизбежно даст о себе знать, когда с фронта вернутся сотни тысяч российских военных. Он напоминает, что подобный опыт уже был после войны в Афганистане в 1990 году.На вторжение в Украину оно уже во многом превзошло и по числу участников боевых действий, и по количеству погибших россиян, а значит и последствия для России могут оказаться куда серьёзнее. Эксперт считает, что российские города столкнутся с волной жестокости, скрытой ярости и социальной зависти. Также мишенью рискуют стать мигранты из Центральной Азии и жители Северного Кавказа.
