Racist Banner In French Cathedral Calls For Mass Deportation of Non-Whites | Firstpost America
A racist banner calling for the mass deportation of non-white people was draped across the Basilica of Saint-Denis in France on Thursday — one of the country’s most historic monuments, where French kings and queens are buried. The mayor of Saint-Denis, Bally Bagayoko — a Black Frenchman born to Malian parents — called it an act of hatred and filed a legal complaint. Since his election in March, Bagayoko has faced a sustained campaign of racist abuse — phone calls, disinformation, and a television debate in which a guest expert invoked images of apes and tribal chiefs. France’s Prime Minister condemned the normalisation of racism. Cary Johnston explains the full story of the banner, the mayor, and what it reveals about France’s deepening racial fault lines.France Immigration | Xenophobia France | Basilica of Saint-Denis | Emmanuel Macron | Trending France News | French Politics | Racism France | Firstpost America | Cary Johnston | War | Geopolitics | Global Economy | Firstpost | World News | Latest News | Global News | International News | Trending News
