Beijing menilai tindakan kapal AS melanggar kedaulatan China dan mengancam perdamaian serta stabilitas kawasan.
Kementerian Pertahanan China menyebut kapal AS memasuki perairan teritorial tanpa izin di lepas pantai Pulau Huangyan, Rabu (12/8/2025).
Sebagai informasi, Pulau Huangyan merupakan kawasan sengketa maritim antara China dengan Filipina.
Sementara itu, Beijing menilai tindakan AS melanggar kedaulatan dan merusak perdamaian Laut China Selatan.
Pasalnya, aksi tersebut bertentangan dengan hukum dunia dan norma hubungan internasional.
Kapal USS Higgins merupakan bagian dari Armada Ketujuh Angkatan Laut AS yang bermarkas di Yokosuka, Jepang.
Sebelum kejadian ini, Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS) Donald Trump memamerkan pembangunan sistem pertahanan rudal baru bernama Golden Dome.
Diperkirakan perisai rudal tersebut dibanderol harga fantastis hingga mencapai 175 miliar dolar atau setara 2.700 triliun.
Pengumuman tersebut dirilis Trump melalui presentasi berjudul "Go Fast, Think Big!" yang disampaika kepada sekitar 3.000 kontraktor pertahanan di Hunstville, Alabama, pekan lalu.
Perisai ini dikliam dapat melindungi seluruh wilayah AS dari berbagai ancaman udara.(Tribun-Video.com)
