L'atleta estone Red Bull, Jaan Roose, sta attraversando lo Stretto di Messina su una slackline di soli 1,9 centimetri di larghezza, sospesa a 200 metri sul livello del mare. Alle 8.30, Jaan è salito sul pilone di Santa Trada (Villa San Giovanni) sul versante calabrese ad un’altezza di 265 metri (misura superiore al più alto grattacielo italiano) e ha iniziato a sistemare i suoi ganci e assicurarsi del preciso assetto. Alle 8.45 in punto, Jaan si è alzato in piedi sulla slackline e ha iniziato la sua traversata raggiungendo il primo chilometro intorno alle 9.30, dopo 45 minuti dalla partenza. L'arrivo è previsto in Sicilia, a Torre Faro, dopo oltre 3,5 chilometri. Si tratta di una traversata da guinnes dei primati: la più lunga camminata su slackline della storia (3646 metri), che polverizzerebbe il precedente record di 2710 metri del percorso di Mont Dorè, in Francia, tra le mete predilette di tutta la community degli slackliner, con un distacco di oltre 900 metri.
