Nahost-Reist: Baerbock setzt Friedensgespräche fort
Bundesaußenministerin Annalena Baerbock (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) hat bei ihrem Besuch in Nahost die Terrororganisation Hamas gedrängt, den vorliegenden Plan für eine Waffenruhe im Gazastreifen anzunehmen.Außerdem beriet Baerbock mit dem palästinensischen Ministerpräsidenten Mohammed Mustafa über die künftige Rolle der Palästinensischen Autonomiebehörde (PA). Diese könnte aus Sicht der Ministerin in einer Nachkriegsordnung im Gazastreifen eine wichtige Rolle spielen.
Aus Sorge vor einer Eskalation des Konflikts zwischen Israel und der pro-iranischen Hisbollah reist Baerbock am Nachmittag in den Libanon weiter. In Beirut sind Gespräche mit weiteren Spitzenpolitikern geplant.
