Nur 40 Zentimeter zum Balkon: Brücken-Koloss fährt durch Hamburg
Der Einbau der neuen Sternbrücke ist eines der spektakulärsten Bauprojekte in Hamburg. Eine knapp 4.000 Tonnen schwere Stahlbrücke wird rund 500 Meter transportiert.Der Transport der Brücke ist eine logistische Meisterleistung. Die 108 Meter lange und 21 Meter breite Brücke soll auf sogenannten Tausendfüßlern über Straße zum Einbauort an einer Kreuzung gebracht werden. Die Tausendfüßler sind hydraulische Spezialfahrzeuge mit Dutzenden einzeln lenkbaren Rädern, die millimetergenau ferngesteuert werden können. Ganze 1.088 Räder werden die Sternbrücke tragen, gesteuert von einer einzigen Person.
