El vicepresidente chino presenta propuestas sobre la gobernanza sostenible de los océanos
El vicepresidente chino, Han Zheng, ha presentado cuatro propuestas sobre la gobernanza sostenible de los océanos durante su intervención en la tercera Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Océanos que acoge estos días en la ciudad francesa de Niza. Han hizo hincapié en que todas las partes deben aceptar la responsabilidad de alcanzar los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la ONU, que también contemplan la conservación y el uso sostenible de los océanos, mares y recursos marinos. Han afirmó que para ello los océanos deben ser universalmente beneficiosos y prósperos, y ser un espacio compartido donde las civilizaciones se encuentren y florezcan juntas. Además anunció que China apoyará a los países en desarrollo para reforzar la sostenibilidad del uso de recursos marinos, y reiteró su compromiso con el Acuerdo sobre la Diversidad Biológica Marina de las Zonas fuera de la Jurisdicción Nacional.
