“EREMITI DI MASSA”: DIEGO FUSARO E LA SOLITUDINE DEI GIOVANI HIKIKOMORI

Ma stando alle ultime stime, sulla spinta anche dell'effetto distorsivo delle pseudo relazioni 'social' (e non più propriamente sociali), Il disagio psicologico tra i giovani ha raggiunto proporzioni allarmanti. Nel mondo, circa 1 adolescente su 7 (tra i 10 e i 19 anni) soffre di un disturbo mentale diagnosticato. In Europa, i minorenni con problemi di salute mentale superano gli 11 milioni; in Italia, i numeri sono ancora più inquietanti: quasi 2 milioni, circa un quarto del totale europeo.
L’allarme lanciato lo scorso novembre dal professor Stefano Vicari, primario di neuropsichiatria infantile all’ospedale “Bambino Gesù” di Roma, parla chiaro: “Negli ultimi 10 anni le consulenze neuropsichiatriche presso il pronto soccorso dell’Ospedale sono aumentate del 500%”. Un dato che fotografa una vera e propria emergenza sociale e clinica, in gran parte sommersa e troppo spesso ignorata.
Hikikomori: la reclusione volontaria di una generazione
All’interno di questo contesto già critico, spicca con forza crescente (seppur con dimensioni percentuali ancora ridotte) il fenomeno degli hikikomori: giovani – prevalentemente maschi (rapporto di 4:1 rispetto alle femmine) – che scelgono di ritirarsi dalla società, barricandosi nelle proprie stanze, spesso per anni, senza contatti diretti con l’esterno.
Originario del Giappone, il termine hikikomori (da hiku, “tirare indietro”, e komoru, “ritirarsi”) è oggi usato anche in Italia per descrivere una forma estrema di ritiro sociale che non dipende necessariamente da una patologia psichiatrica conclamata, ma che porta comunque a gravi conseguenze psicologiche, relazionali e familiari. Si tratta ovviamente di un caso limitato numericamente, ma che forse più di tutti rappresenta perfettamente il simbolo estremizzato di una piaga sociale sempre più delicata e pericolosa.
