Janet Yellen alerta que os Estados Unidos enfrentarão inflação acima de 2% pelos próximos cinco anos, pressionada por tarifas, guerra e investimentos em inteligência artificial. A ex-presidente do Federal Reserve e ex-secretária do Tesouro americano apresentou nesta quinta-feira (23) um diagnóstico desafiador para a economia dos EUA durante painel na Expert XP 2026.Segundo Yellen, três fatores principais sustentam a pressão inflacionária: as tarifas impostas pela administração de Donald Trump, as disrupções causadas pela guerra no Oriente Médio e o grande investimento em data centers para inteligência artificial. Yellen destacou que o Fed atualmente mantém a política monetária em pausa, mas está "pronto para elevar as taxas" caso a escalada do conflito no Oriente Médio persista.
