Nell'ultima sessione plenaria del Parlamento Europeo a Strasburgo, un dibattito di attualità ha focalizzato l'attenzione sulla necessità di combattere la discriminazione nell'UE attraverso l'adozione della direttiva orizzontale antidiscriminazione. Una direttiva bloccata in Consiglio da 17 anni – richiede unanimità – e che ha rischiato il ritiro definitivo nel programma di lavoro 2025 della Commissione von der Leyen, per mancanza di prospettive di accordo. L'ha riportata alla luce Hadja Lahbib, Commissaria europea per la parità, la preparazione e la gestione delle crisi, più nota per il kit di sopravvivenza annunciato sui social tempo fa. "Benvenuti in 'Cosa c'è nella mia borsa? Edizione sopravvivenza", recitava nel video mentre l'Europa già non faceva che annunciare il futuro conflitto con la Russia (e l'importanza del contante!). La commissaria è tornata in aula, incontrando però anche Roberto Vannacci.
