The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) annual report highlights troubling nuclear trends. While global nuclear weapons have fallen to 12,121, with Russia and the U.S. holding nearly 90%, over 3,900 are operational and many are on high alert. China's arsenal grew by 20%, with missiles ready to launch instantly. India, Pakistan, and North Korea are advancing missile technology. Israel is modernising its nuclear capabilities, and several countries are developing tactical nuclear warheads.
