Para pemimpin Israel disebut berselisih pandangan soal isi kesepakatan yang didukung Perdana Menteri, Benjamin Netanyahu, dan Menteri Urusan Strategis, Ron Dermer.
Perjanjian itu mencakup penghentian perang, pertukaran tawanan, serta penarikan pasukan Israel dari Gaza secara bertahap.
Mengutip dari Al Mayadeen (10/10) Menteri Kehakiman Yariv Levin, satu di antara sekutu terdekat Netanyahu, memuji kesepakatan tersebut.
Ia menilai, pembebasan para sandera adalah momen bersejarah bagi Israel.
Sementara, penolakan keras datang dari Menteri Keuangan Bezalel Smotrich.
Ia mengaku khawatir pembebasan tahanan Palestina akan memunculkan “generasi baru pemimpin teroris.”
Smotrich menolak bergabung dalam perayaan kesepakatan dan menilai kebijakan itu berisiko bagi keamanan Israel.
Smotrich juga menolak rencana Amerika yang mengarah pada kenegaraan Palestina.
Menyebutnya sebagai bentuk kembali pada kebijakan lama yang gagal.
Di satu sisi, Menteri Pemukiman, Orit Strock ikut mengancam akan keluar dari pemerintahan.
Ia menilai tetap berada di kabinet yang menurutnya berkompromi terhadap keamanan nasional adalah “tindakan yang tak bermoral.”
