McGrady caught 11 DNPs before the all-star break, playing just over 10 minutes a night when he actually did make an appearance.By late March, McGrady began to see more opportunities swing his way, bolstered by a four-game stretch following the all-star break in which he averaged close to 17 points a night. That being said, his output against the Pistons was relatively modest, finishing with six points and one assist in a 105-99 loss.
For whatever it's worth, the following evening McGrady nearly churned out a triple-double, finishing with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 blocks in a near upset of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
