▷ AIUTA L'INFORMAZIONE LIBERA, SOSTIENICI: https://donazioni.radioradio.it/Il Financial Times ha lanciato nei giorni scorsi un'indiscrezione destinata a far discutere le cancellerie europee: Christine Lagarde starebbe pensando di lasciare la presidenza della BCE prima della naturale scadenza del mandato, fissata per ottobre 2027. Secondo fonti vicine al suo entourage riportate dal quotidiano britannico, l'ex numero uno del FMI vorrebbe anticipare l'uscita – forse già nel corso del 2026 – per consentire a Emmanuel Macron (al termine del suo secondo mandato all'Eliseo) e al cancelliere tedesco Friedrich Merz di dire la propria sul nome del successore. L'obiettivo sarebbe infatti quello di preservare l'influenza dell'asse franco-tedesco sulla più importante istituzione monetaria europea, in un momento in cui i sondaggi danno in forte ascesa, ad esempio in Francia, il Rassemblement National, il partito di Le Pen guidato da Bardella. Le elezioni presidenziali francesi sono fissate proprio per il 2027.
Un'eventuale vittoria di un candidato vicino a Le Pen rischierebbe infatti di complicare drasticamente, nell'ottica delle attuali élite europee, la scelta del prossimo presidente BCE.
