Insiden ini menyebabkan lima gerbong keluar jalu dan melumpuhkan sementara jalur kereta lintas Cikampek-Cirebon.
Meski tidak ada korban jiwa, perjalanan sejumlah kereta api tertahan di stasiun-stasiun sekitar lokasi kejadian.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) memastikan tidak ada korban jiwa dalam insiden anjloknya Kereta Api Argo Bromo Anggrek relasi Surabaya Pasar Turi - Gambir di Stasiun Pegaden Baru, Wilayah Daop 3 Cirebon, Subang, Jawa Barat sekira pukul 15.47 WIB.
Petugas KAI langsung berkoordinasi dengan pihak terkait untuk mengevakuasi penumpang dan mempercepat perbaikan jalur agar perjalanan kereta lainnya dapat kembali normal.
Dalam pernyataan resminya, KAI menyatakan bahwa semua penumpang berhasil dievakuasi dengan aman oleh petugas di lapangan. KAI menegaskan bahwa keselamatan penumpang adalah prioritas.
Adapun akibat kecelakaan tersebut, jalur lintas Cikampek-Cirebon mengalami gangguan dan tidak bisa dilalui sementara waktu.
PT KAI memperkirakan proses perbaikan akan memakan waktu 8-10 jam.
