In this video, I'll show you seven Claude Code mods that are actually useful, with the installation and a practical walkthrough for each one on a small task manager project. We start with Filetree, a file browser right next to the conversation, and Replay Theater, which lets you step through the edits Claude just made. Then we try Blast Radius on a dummy build folder, use Collision Guard with two chats editing the same file, and watch three parallel agents in Agent Flow. Finally, we save a reviewed project rule with Reflect and look at what Cache Tax can and can't do for your costs.

Key Takeaways:

⚙️ Mods need Claude Code 2.1.287 or newer, load by default, and run with your permissions, so check the publisher before installing.
📁 Filetree puts a project browser beside the conversation and shows which files Claude reads and changes, without a separate model request.
🎬 Replay Theater steps through the last turn's edit requests, but it's a session view, so confirm the result with git diff and your tests.
⚠️ Blast Radius holds certain risky Bash commands like rm -rf and shows what they would affect before you choose Proceed or Cancel.
🛡️ It only recognizes particular Bash patterns, so keep normal permissions in place and still read the actual command.
👥 Collision Guard asks before a second chat edits a file another open chat changed recently, with a 30-minute lookback by default.
🔍 Agent Flow shows each delegated agent's state, current tool and elapsed time, but the agents themselves still use your normal usage.
🧠 Reflect turns a correction into a rule you review, and saves it to the right CLAUDE.md scope only after you approve it.
💸 Cache Tax can ping to keep a one-hour cache warm, but the pings cost tokens and only help if you actually come back to the conversation.
✅ You don't need all seven: start with the problem you actually have, test the mod on a small project, and disable what doesn't earn its place. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
