Russia insists on achieving goals in Ukraine despite ultimatum from Pres. Trump

A Kremlin spokesman announced on Sunday that Russia is ready for peace with Ukraine, though achieving its objectives remains the main goal. This statement comes days after President Donald Trump issued a 50-day ultimatum to Moscow. He recommended Russia agree to a ceasefire or they would be facing increased sanctions. Russian officials have consistently denied accusations from Ukraine and its Western allies that they are obstructing peace negotiations.
