Die Waldbrände im Südwesten Frankreichs sind nach wie vor nicht unter Kontrolle. Die Feuer bewegen sich auf die Großstadt Bordeaux zu, erste Vororte wurden evakuiert. Frankreichs Premier Lecornu ordnete den Einsatz des Militärs an.

In der Nähe der spanischen Hauptstadt Madrid haben sich mehrere Feuer zu einer einzigen Feuerfront zusammengeschlossen. Inzwischen mussten mehr als 20.000 Menschen ihre Häuser verlassen.
