Sebelumnya, Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani telah melaporkan persiapan dan penyelesaian penulisan nota keuangan serta RAPBN 2026 pada Presiden Prabowo Subianto pada 22 Juli 2025.
Kala itu Menkeu Sri Mulyani mengatakan bahwa laporan meliputi asumsi makro dan program-program prioritas presiden.
Program prioritas tersebut meliputi makanan bergizi gratis (MBG), sekolah rakyat, Koperasi Desa Merah Putih, pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis, perbaikan sekolah, dan pelaksaan Instruksi Presiden jalan daerah.
Kemudian perbaikan infrastruktur, ketahanan pangan, dan belanja negara untuk penambahan luas lahan maupun irigasi, bendungan, program-program pemerintah lainnya.
Sebelumnya pada pukul 10.30 WIB, Presiden Prabowo telah menyampaikan pidato kenegaraan perdananya.
Ada sejumlah hal yang disampaikan Prabowo dalam pidatonya tersebut.
Prabowo mengajak seluruh rakyat Indonesia untuk mengenang jasa para pendiri bangsa yang telah memproklamasikan kemerdekaan pada 17 Agustus 1945.
