La decisione ha scatenato una bagarre in Senato, con i senatori del M5S che hanno occupato i banchi del governo esibendo cartelli con la scritta "Fuori le chat" e urlando "Vergogna", mentre i senatori di FdI rispondevano con "Buffoni". Per Calenda il quadro è chiaro: ognuno difende i suoi, e non è uno bello spettacolo.
