Pernyataan Hotman itu pun mendapat tanggapan dari Menteri Keuangan atau Menkeu Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
Hotman Paris mengatakan dirinya mendukung program tersebut.
Meski begitu diungkapkannya setiap program ada baik dan buruknya.
"Kita mendukung, program itu. Saya hanya mengingatkan, semua program ada sifat baik dan ada sifat tidak baiknya," kata Hotman Paris kepada awak media di PN Jakpus, Selasa (23/9/2025).
Kemudian dikatakannya kalau bunga deposito di Singapura tinggi, orang akan kabur bawa deposito ke Singapura.
"Kalau bunga di Bank Pemerintah sudah rendah, orang akan nabung di Bank Swasta. Atau ke Singapura," jelasnya.
