Can You Build a GREAT Toolbox for Under $100? (What & Where) #TOOLBOX100 Challenge

Welcome to the Tool Box 100 Challenge! The challenge is for makers to put together a tool box with great essential tools for a beginner maker, keeping the total cost under $100 dollars, and then giving it away to a new/deserving maker or craftsperson. Also, be sure to share what you find, and where you go to find tools using the hashtag #toolbox100, and tag @TheArtofCraftsmanship on social media, so we can share your finds. This way we can all learn about cool new places to find awesome tools, and invite new customers to support your favorite shops. We would love to see more #toolbox100 videos here on YouTube, so reach out through social media or email if you would like to find out more, or just start filming your Tool Box 100 journey and put out a video.

In this video I show you what I decided to put into the tool box, where I got those tools, how I restored/prepared some of them, and what I paid.

Places I went to purchase the tools:
Joppa Town Flea Market: There are a few tool stalls in the back that have loads of awesome tools
North Point Flea Market: This is an indoor/outdoor market, and I often find the best deals and tools from the folks that set up outdoors, but there are a few spots inside as well, the trick is to be diligent and treat you time as a treasure hunt, and have fun.
Harbor Freight: This is a great tool store for cheap tools. This might not be the place to go and buy a the highest quality tools, but there are some great deals on tools and shop supplies that will do the job just as well as any other more expensive version, at a fraction of the price.
Auto Zone: I googled the 6 in 1 screw driver from the Long Neck brand, and it turns out that they sell them at auto zone!
Habitat Restore: This is a great reseller of all things relating to home renovation. They are the retail face of Habitat for Humanity, and are a great option for used and resold tools and home renovation materials and supplies.

We want to extend this challenge to all our maker viewers. We would love for you to buy a tool box and fill it will great tools for under $100 dollars, and then give it away. These could be the basic tools for any home owner, tools for a crafter, a new welder, leather worker, knife maker, tool restorer, black smith, cos player, axe junkie, and so many more. If you love to do and make things and you love the "tools of your trade" then we challenge you to the #toolbox100.
