Conferencia “Técnicas artísticas y decorativas en los marcos”, impartida por Mayte Camino Martín (restauradora de marcos del Museo Nacional del Prado), que forma parte del curso “Otra colección: los marcos del Museo del Prado”.

Curso en torno a los marcos del Museo, y del marco en general, que se articula mediante una serie de conferencias impartidas por diversos especialistas en la materia. Se estructura en tres grandes bloques, que abordan temas tan esenciales como la fabricación y materialidad del marco, la importancia y la relación tan estrecha que se establece con la obra que guarnece, así como un sinfín de particularidades, tales como las fuentes documentales, los enmarcados de época o la decoración botánica. El curso también pretenden dar a conocer, de una manera didáctica y científica, la importancia del marco como objeto artístico, y ofrecer una nueva perspectiva que permitirá contemplar la obra en toda su plenitud.
