ANHOLT: Toter Buckelwal sorgt weiter für Alarm auf dänischer InselAnholt (Dänemark) – Seit rund zwei Wochen liegt Timmy am Strand der dänischen Insel im flachen Wasser und verwest. Der ursprüngliche Plan, den Wal in tieferes Wasser zu ziehen, ist gescheitert. Jetzt ist klar: Der Wal wird direkt am Strand obduziert. Dafür soll er noch am Wochenende an Land gezogen werden.
Das sagt Jane Hansen, Abteilungsleiterin bei der dänischen Umweltschutzbehörde, zu BILD. Obduktion, wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen und Entsorgung von Timmys Kadaver sollen demnach Ende kommender Woche stattfinden. Diese Entscheidung wurde auf der Grundlage des vorangegangenen Versuchs getroffen, den Wal in den Hafen von Grenaa zu transportieren, so Hansen.
