According to Roxbury Review, the divide between male and female athletes in professional sports current sits between 80-84% since 2004 - a significance difference that often goes unnoticed on a global scale. To this issue, Wendi Wu will address and tackle the gender inequality in professional sports via spotlighting her personal experiences and anecdotes in becoming a dedicated swimmer in SASPD. Born in France, I grew up in Guangzhou and studied in Shanghai since elementary school. I’m a ballet dancer, swimmer, and an athlete in general who loves any sport you give her. I have an older brother who studies at NYU and two dogs who are adorable and fun to play with.
