Akibat tindakannya itu, Aiptu Rudi kena sanksi dari Polrestabes Medan.
Berdasarkan video yang diterima Tribun Medan, Aiptu Rudi dihukum guling-guling ke aspal di bawah terik matahari.
Ketika dihukum, polisi bertubuh gempal tersebut memakai seragam polisi lengkap dengan rompi lalu lintas.
Setelah disuruh guling-guling di aspal, Rudi dijebloskan ke tahanan khusus polisi atau penempatan khusus (patsus).
