En ce mois de mars, dédié à la femme, À Tammassogo, dans la commune de Barsalogho, les femmes rurales font revivre le village après les moments difficiles liés à l'insécurité.Là où il n'y avait plus rien, on voit aujourd'hui de la verdure. Dans ce contexte de crise, la coopérative « Pegdwendé » travaille dur pour nourrir tout le monde. Sous la direction de Denise Zabré, trente femmes font pousser des choux, des tomates et des oignons. Elles sèment aussi du maïs et du haricot.
Ces femmes sont courageuses. Leur idée est simple : cultiver pour ne plus demander l'aide de personne. C'est ce qu'on appelle la souveraineté alimentaire. Avec l'argent gagné, elles paient l'école des enfants et soignent leurs familles.
