Бойцы пограничной комендатуры быстрого реагирования «Шквал» из состава Львовского пограничного отряда с октября 2024 по июнь 2025 держали оборону в Серебрянском лесу. Здесь русские подразделения использовали уже привычную тактику штурмов малыми пехотными группами. Но самым большим вызовом для военнослужащих ГНСУ стала насыщенность линии фронта вражескими дронами. В определенный момент, из-за постоянных потерь, логистики и передвижения военных были максимально усложнены. Бойцы на передовых позициях начали испытывать нехватку воды и пищи. Вызовом также стала эвакуация раненых: из-за угрозы БПЛА части пограничников приходилось еще неделями оставаться на позициях.
