Botan tertarik setelah melihat Ibuki meminum "highball" dengan begitu nikmat, dan ia pun tanpa sadar berkata, "Aku juga ingin coba minuman itu." Untuk pertama kali dalam hidupnya, Botan pun mencicipi alkohol.
Setelah mengetahui betapa nikmatnya minuman tersebut, Botan pun mulai mencoba berbagai jenis alkohol bersama para penghuni asrama, seperti shochu, anggur, dan wiski, sambil mempererat ikatan pertemanan mereka.
Di sisi lain, Ibuki yang sebelumnya hanya ingin minum sendirian karena pengalaman pahit di masa lalu, perlahan mulai berubah. Melihat Botan yang minum dengan ceria dan tampak begitu menikmati setiap teguknya, Ibuki pun mulai berpikir bahwa ia ingin minum bersama seseorang lagi.
