(LaPresse) «Per quanto riguarda i cittadini italiani, la situazione migliora di ora in ora grazie alla ripresa di molti voli di linea; direi, quindi, che l’emergenza è ormai superata. L’unico punto ancora critico sono le Maldive: lì non c’è un conflitto, ma molti connazionali stanno cercando di rientrare e i voli ordinari non sono ancora sufficienti a smaltire tutte le richieste in tempi rapidi. Per questo stiamo rinforzando la nostra organizzazione a Malé, dove sono arrivati nuovi funzionari e Carabinieri, ed è in arrivo anche l’ambasciatore. Mentre la situazione a Colombo è stata risolta, quella in Thailandia si sta gradualmente normalizzando. Nel resto delle aree interessate, pur rimanendo un quadro preoccupante a causa degli attacchi in corso, non ci sono altri italiani che chiedono di rientrare. Rimangono i residenti, ai quali continuiamo a fornire assistenza. Abbiamo comunque mantenuto i rinforzi presso le ambasciate e i consolati per assistere i connazionali qualora un peggioramento della situazione dovesse spingere anche chi risiede lì a tornare in Italia. Al momento, tuttavia, lo stato di emergenza persiste soltanto nelle Maldive».
