Ota-Ola, el activista e influencer cubanoamericano Alex Otaola comenta el caso de una madre cubana que llora desconsolada tras la detención de su esposo por agentes de inmigración (ICE) en EE.UU. El drama se ha viralizado en TikTok, generando empatía, rabia y preguntas. ¿Pero qué hay detrás?

Otaola no se queda en la lágrima fácil y va más allá. Investiga quién es el hombre detenido y descubre que, según sus publicaciones en redes sociales, se trata de un entusiasta de la caldosa del 28 de septiembre, un probable simpatizante del sistema cubano. El influencer desmonta la narrativa de la víctima perfecta y recuerda a su audiencia: muchos que hoy lloran, ayer vitoreaban al sistema que los lanzó al exilio.

Además, pone el dedo en la llaga: muchos cubanos llegan a Miami con la mentalidad equivocada, se decepcionan al no encontrar el paraíso soñado y terminan sirviendo como herramientas propagandísticas del régimen. Este caso, advierte Otaola, es una pieza más del engranaje para hacer quedar mal al sistema estadounidense y lavar la cara de la dictadura.

Una reflexión cruda, directa, y necesaria. ¿Víctimas o cómplices? ¿Hasta cuándo el exilio tendrá que cargar con el peso de quienes ayer gritaban “¡Paredón!” y hoy claman “¡Asilo!”?
