MERKEL: Zehn Jahre "Wir schaffen das" – Altkanzlerin steht weiter hinter ihrer FlüchtlingspolitikZehn Jahre nach ihrem legendären Satz «Wir schaffen das» zur Aufnahme Hunderttausender Flüchtlinge ist Deutschland nach Überzeugung der damaligen Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel (CDU) bei der Integration von Migranten deutlich vorangekommen. «Das ist ein Prozess. Aber bis jetzt haben wir viel geschafft. Und was noch zu tun ist, muss weiter getan werden», sagte die CDU-Politikerin in einem Interview mit dem Journalisten Ingo Zamperoni, das für eine ARD-Dokumentation geführt wurde.
Am 31. August 2015 hatte Merkel jene drei Worte gewählt, nachdem gerade bekanntgeworden war, dass für das laufende Jahr 800.000 Flüchtlinge in Deutschland erwartet wurden und Tausende Geflüchtete von Ungarn kommend in Richtung Deutschland unterwegs waren.
