Questo aumento, pari a circa 71 miliardi in soli tre mesi, è stato definito come un avvitamento. Mentre molti paesi europei vicini stanno cercando di ridurre il loro debito grazie a riforme strutturali, la Francia sembra seguire una strada opposta, continuando ad aumentarlo.
Fitch Ratings, che ha recentemente declassato il rating della #Francia, prevede che il debito possa superare il 120% del PIL entro il 2027, superando il picco registrato durante la crisi del #Covid nel 2021 (118%). La causa principale di questo aumento è legata alla mancata riduzione delle spese pubbliche negli ultimi trent'anni, come sottolineato da un articolo di Le Figaro. Un altro fattore che aggrava la situazione sono gli interessi sul debito, che continuano a crescere, con una previsione di costi superiori ai 107 miliardi di #euro entro il 2029.
